CLIENT SOFTWARE:-

Web Browser: IE Version 7.0 is a minimum requirement however
Version 8 is recommended.
 

SERVER SOFTWARE:-

- Windows 2000 Server and upwards (with Windows Scripting Host
   version 5.6 or higher)*

- MDAC 2.8 / JET 4, SP 8

- MS SQL Server Version 2000 Standard Edition or higher (N.B. if using
  SQL Server 2005 the OLE DB connection must use the MDAC OLE
  DB provider not the SQL Native Client).

  Compatibility level - Dawn CF databases are supplied in SQL server
  2000 format. If you attach a database (or restore a backup) to an instance
  of SQL server 2005, the database is automatically upgraded to 2005
  format. By default, the compatibility level is set at SQL Server 2000 (80).
  This setting should be retained (or selected if it is not the default). Dawn
  CF has not been tested with databases using the higher compatibility level.

  A cost-free alternative to MS SQL Server for smaller systems (up to
  15 concurrent users) is MS Desktop Engine (MSDE). There is currently
  a database size limit of 2GB, so please contact us for help in estimating
  the potential size and growth of your database. Note version 7 will have
  audit trails and patient photos (approx. 100K per photo, if used), so that
  disk space requirements need to be carefully estimated.

- IIS as shipped with OS (version 5 / 6) with support for active server
  pages enabled.
 

SERVER HARDWARE:-

- Minimum: 2 Ghz Pentium IV.

- Recommended: XEON processor 3.4 Ghz. with 2GB of memory. (Note:
  you need to allow 1 to 2 MB RAM per Dawn Clinical Framework user)

- A 'Raid 5'-disk system

Disk space requirements need to be carefully estimated as outlined above.
