GP's Prescribe Interacting
Drugs
An
audit of more than 300 GP's in Scotland found many patients on warfarin
were also being prescribed other drugs, which could dangerously
interact. NSAIDs were found in 22% of cases, while aspirin was given in
18%.
May be our
only hope is to educate our patients to always tell their GP that they
are taking warfain when their GP prescribes any drug.
