Since the first
version in 1993, QlikView has been continually
developed by QlikTech International.
The current core product,
QlikView 8, is
split into levels suitable for any user.
QlikView Enterprise - For the Developer
QlikView
Enterprise is the complete developer’s tool for
building QlikView applications. QlikView Enterprise
lets developers load disparate data sources for
access in a single application. The data load script
supports over 150 functions for data cleansing,
manipulation and aggregation. Intuitive wizard
driven interface allow powerful visually interactive
applications to be developed quickly.
QlikView Professional - For the power user
QlikView
Professional lets power-users build, change or
modify the layout of existing QlikView applications.
QlikView Professional users can refresh existing
data sources. QlikView Professional users can choose
to either work with local applications or
applications distributed via
QlikView Server.
QlikView Analyzer - For the end user
QlikView
Analyzer is both a Windows application and a
connection to server based QlikView applications.
The server has a number of deployment options:
browser based zero-footprint client, Java and Java
Objects clients, and ActiveX plug-in. The Windows
client allows users to take data offline, and to
refresh reports from existing data sources.
QlikView Publisher – Distributing Analysis for
Everyone
Analysis has
become a critical success factor for any
organisation. As the use of business analysis
spreads throughout the organisation, controlling the
distribution of analysis becomes increasingly
important. With QlikView Publisher you are in full
control of the distribution of your company’s
QlikView applications. The QlikView Publisher
automates the data refresh process for QlikView
application data. In addition, it ensures that
applications are distributed to the correct users
when they need them. With QlikView Publisher you can
be sure that the right information reaches the right
user at the right time.
Data
Security Control
QlikView
Publisher ensures users only have access to
documents with their data. Based on criteria set by
an administrator QlikView Publisher will make data
driven reduction of a QlikView document and then
distribute the finalised document to any specific
user. This ensures that users only have access to
the data that is truly theirs.
Single
point of access
Users have
access to QlikView applications through the QlikView
AccessPoint web portal. From here the updated
applications are made available for online analysis
via QlikView Analyzer or download for offline
analysis. The QlikView AccessPoint supports the
display and organisation of QlikView applications by
an administrator set list of meta-data. Using the
AccessPoint organisations create a secure location
where users have access to a personalised list of
business analysis applications
QlikView Server – Scaling Analysis for Everyone
QlikView Server
allows all users in an organisation a common view of
important corporate analysis. By working from the
same data and viewing the same key metrics, everyone
in the organisation can share a common view of
organisational goals and strategies. The QlikView
Server allows users to share QlikView analysis
collaboratively, allowing users to share analytical
experiences and conclusions in real time. By driving
collaboration and a common understanding, the
QlikView Server drives organisational alignment and
performance against shared goals.
Scales
to massive data sets
QlikView Server
is a highly scalable solution which takes full
advantage of the underlying hardware platform.
QlikView Server can handle hundreds of millions of
data records down to a transactional level. QlikView
Server is available on both 32-bit architectures,
and now has been specifically built and tuned for
64-bit architectures. This provides a nearly
limitless capacity to read, query, and analyze data. |
