DAWN Atrial Fibrillation Rate Control Module

We are currently working with a large customer in Massachusetts, USA to develop a suite of modules for managing patients with atrial fibrillation.

An atrial fibrillation diagnosis is the predominant reason for managing patients using the existing anticoagulation module, but additional modules are planned for managing heart rate control and associated conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.

The first module we have developed is for rate control.

Atrial fibrillation patients can have a rate control treatment plan that sits alongside their anticoagulation treatment plan and allows tracking of scores such as resting and exercising heart rate, blood pressure, symptoms, and heart rhythm.

Scores outside target limits are automatically flagged for attention and displayed in red.  You can choose between looser target limits (e.g. resting heart rate of <110) or stricter limits (e.g. resting heart rate <85) for certain cohorts of patients.

Current medications (such as beta blockers and calcium channel blockers) are displayed alongside the current results.

Previous medications and doses are displayed in the history panel alongside the scores they relate to, so that you can track the pattern of dose increases and medication changes against their effect in terms of bringing down the heart rate.
